The purpose or purposes for which the organization is organized are for charitable, educational,and scientific purposes. Such purposes shall include but not limited to providing scientific education through the association of people with like interest in the field of electro-magnetic communications and providing civil defense, disaster, emergency radio communications within accordance of part 97 of the Amateur Radio Service Rules and Regulations of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The street address of the initial registered office of the organization is 1101 Viking Dr, Jasper, Alabama 35501 which is also the current location of the Walker County Service Center of The American Red Cross. Initial registered agent is Richard Crouse with the Amateur Radio license operator call sign of KE4OLS.
The minimum number of officers constituting the leadership of this organization (here in after referred to as the group) is four (4). The number of officers may be increased or decreased from time to time by a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the group membership, however at no time shall the number of officers be less than three (3).
No part of the earnings of the organization shall insure the benefit of or be Distributable to its members, officers or other private persons except that the organization Shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered (if necessary) and to make payment and distributions in the furtherance of the purposes set forth herein.
